LUNENBURG – The Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office is warning citizens about packages and checks that have been received in the county and are part of a scam.
LCSO officials stated, “We have had reports of citizens in our county receiving these types (pictured) of packages. If you receive an unsolicited check in the mail, report it to the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office.”
The department said that this type of package is part of a scam and that residents should not try to deposit it or cash it.
